Sarah Kehder was born in Mannheim, Germany, and began to sing solo parts in many concerts already at a young age.

At the HfM Karlsruhe, Germany, she began her studies in opera singing, followed by her master studies which led her to the Conservatorio de Giuseppe Verdi in Milano.

In Frankfurt am Main she finished her master studies of opera singing at the HfMDK and also visited coaching classes of Hilde Zadek, Julia Varady and Hartmut Höll..

During the whole period of her studies she visited master classes of Norma and Timothy Sharp, Marlis Petersen, Georg Nigl, Helmut Deutsch, Brigitte Fassbender, Hilde Zadek and last but not least Julia Várady.

Her active participation in concerts led her from Germany to Italy and Switzerland.

She was part of the productions

„Ein Sommernachtstraum“, „Falstaff“

and „Le Nozze di Figaro“.

Not only did she succeed as Musetta in „Boème“ by G. Puccini and R. Leoncavallo but also as Agathe in „Freischütz“ by Carl Maria von Weber.

Furthermore she participated at the festival „Gegen den Strom“ in the „Kurtheater an der Lahn“. In Bad Ems, Germany, she could be heard as Barbarina in the opera „Le nozze di Figaro“ by W.A. Mozart. She also performed as Dinah in „Trouble in Tahiti“ by Leonard Bernstein in Frankfurt am Main.

Her solo appearences include the interactive performance-installation „Sonic Blossom“ by the artist Lee Mingwei at the Staedel Museum Frankfurt (2017) and the Centre Pompidou in Paris (2018).

In 2017 she was winner in the international competition „Opernspiele Munot“ in Switzerland.
